Two Poignant Events of the week

Two events of the week have been very touching and moving and the common link between the two is cancer.

First was the death of a Nobel Laureate who won the coveted prize for discoveries on fighting cancer and ended up losing his battle against that very disease , that too hours before knowing that he won the Nobel prize. The second event was of course the death of Steve Jobs today. For most of us who spent the 80s in the Bay Area, Jobs was an icon par excellence. I used to adore him as a role model for his drive. Steve Jobs ranks right there with Newton, Edison and Einstein in the list of human beings who made a significant difference to mankind.

As someone said in Internet, "May his soul rest in peace in iHeaven"
